FRESH PRODUCTS

We have dozens of crops and fruit trees to choose from here at Orchard Street Gardens. We grow in a pesticide free environment, we hope you’ll appreciate the fact that all of our produce is locally and responsibly farmed.  Come by to check out our products for yourself.

BASIL (ITALIAN GENOVESE)

Available Late July through September 2025

$1 per ounce, $16 per pound

Field grown basil with a nice peppery flavor. This sun kissed basil adds spice to salads and sauces that commercially grown varieties can't match.

CURED CULINARY GARLIC

SORRY - ALL SOLD OUT FOR 2025

Our Garlic is grown from Italian softneck varieties - Italian Purple and Early Italian. These are more pungent and more flavorful than the more common California White Garlic.

HYBRID SLICER TOMATOES

Available Mid-August Through September 2025

$4.00 per lb

Pesticide-free slicer tomatoes range from 6 oz to over 1 pound in weight. Perfect for slicing and putting on your hamburger. These can also be cut into wedges for salads or cooked up for homemade tomato sauce.

SHISHITO PEPPERS

Available Late August through September 2025

$7 per pound

Shishito are mild, but watch out, about 1 in 100 is hot and spicy. These little peppers are thin skinned and grow to about 3 inches in length. They are commonly used for appetizers and in stir-fry or soup.

SHALLOTS

Available September through October 2025

$0.70 per oz

We grow Red/Brown (French style) Shallots. These have mild, sweet onion flavors with a hint of garlic. Caramelized or lightly sauted shallots elevate the flavor of salads, vegetables and meats.

TUSCAN CANTALOUPE

Available August through Mid October 2025

Sweet and delicious Tuscan Cantaloupe has distinctive green stripes on its skin. The flesh is orange and the flavor is consistently sweet with classic cantaloupe flavor.

THE ORIGINAL: Heirloom tomatoes are the best tasting of all. These tomatoes come in many shapes, sizes and colors; each with its own distinctive flavor profile.

FARMINGTON GROWER'S MARKET

Every Saturday starting at 8:00 AM. The market closes at 12 noon, but come early for the best selection. In October the Market will open at 9:00 am in the morning.
