ORCHARD STREET GARDENS - RESPONSE TO COVID-19 CRISIS

We at Orchard Street Gardens believe that the availability of safe local food is critical to withstand the COVID-19 crisis. Furthermore, we believe that high quality, fresh local food should be celebrated as part of our continuing heritage in Farmington, New Mexico. To meet these challenges, Orchard Street Gardens is implementing the following programs.

Weekly Garden Update Email and Order Pickup

This email provides info on the current status of the garden, including a list of produce available in the coming week. You may place an order by telephone, email, or text. We will assemble the order and contact you with the exact price and mutually acceptable pickup time.

Growers Markets

Orchard Street Gardens will be present at select regional markets in San Juan County New Mexico and La Plata County Colorado. See the Markets Section on the web page for more details. At the markets we will practice social distancing and sanitizing protocols required by the markets and the states in which they are located.

Farm-Stand Coming to Orchard Street Gardens

When the tomato crop ripens (Mid to Late July) Orchard Street Gardens will set up a farm-stand at the garden. Social distancing and sanitizing protocols will be implemented per rules agreed upon by the New Mexico Farmers Marketing Association and the New Mexico Governor’s Office. We are planning to be open on two afternoons a week - probably Tuesdays and Fridays.

Credit Card Reader with Touchless Pay Capabilities

You can pay via credit card at Orchard Street Gardens produce stands. We are planning to implement this feature for order pickup as well.
